SAIC is seeking an Oracle DBA to be a critical member of the RITS team providing remote customer support.

This role offers permanent work from home/ remote/ virtual work at home

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide real time support to maintain the necessary functionality and respond to issues as they arise for Oracle 
  • Ensures availability, security, integrity, and performance of assigned databases
  • Recommends and implements data models and database designs that support efficient data access
  • Automates repetitive and/or error-prone tasks
  • Schedules and manages jobs for data transfers and sundry procedures and monitors performance and impact on operations
  • Analyzes long-term database performance trends to optimize database and application performance
  • Configures, supports, and optimizes replication
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

HS/GED and 13 years of experience OR Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD.  

Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance required

Certification: Current Security+ CE, CISSP, or CASP certification required 

Required Skills:

  • Extensive Oracle DBA experience
  • Solid experience with UNIX (Solaris)/Linux (RHEL) environments, OEM, Shell Scripting,and some third party tools such as Putty, Toad, SQL Developer, etc.
  • Solid experience with RMAN, ASH/AWR Reports, DataPump, SQlLoader, and Query tuning
  • Experiene automaing repetitive and/or error-prone tasks
  • Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and database links
  • Knowledgeable of triggers, stored procedures, third party tools, replication, clustering, and transaction monitoring

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with High Availability (H/A), RAC, Goldengate, Dataguard a plus
  • Experience with WebLogic, OHS, OBIEE, and OAM a plus
  • Cross-platform migration experience a plus

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
