SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and client oriented leader to join our team in Washington, DC to begin an exciting and challenging career.  

The DOT Business Executive will work with a senior leadership team responsible for maturing and growing the DOT account.  The Business Executive is responsible for two key areas: Business Development, to include identifying key points-of-contact, positioning, pursuing new opportunities and growing the DOT business per our business plan; and Client Relationship Management, to include successfully establishing and managing key client relationships at the senior leader and executive levels in the Department and Operating Administrations, ultimately resulting in being recognized as a trusted business advisor by key client decision makers.

The DOT Business Executive will communicate in an open, candid, clear, complete and consistent manner. Listen well and give full attention to understanding our client’s environment and potential needs. Demonstrate maturity, self-confidence and self-control in formal and informal interactions.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years’ experience with at least five years’ senior leadership experience with DOT. This includes significant experience with large programs including: experience starting and leading stakeholder engagements; program and business operations; scheduling; and information sharing.

• Bachelors of Science degree or higher in a related discipline

• Direct experience with Department of Transportation; preferred FHWA, FRA, NHTSA, FMCSA, FTA, OST-R. -     Understanding of legislative, political, socio-economic, regulatory trends in the transportation market place to help drive business growth.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to gain the confidence, respect and trust of peers as well as of senior executives in Government

• Ability to coordinate appropriate support from internal organizations, including procurement, contracts, finance, legal, sales, and account leadership

• Experience developing or evaluating winning proposals and associated services and solutions in the Federal Government marketplace

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong reputation for fairness, dependability and adherence to high ethical standards

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with enterprise IT at DOT, which could include application modernization, cloud computing, security, and/or data analytics

• Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), including their evaluation, testing, governance, and implementation

• Understanding of environmental impact and sustainment as it relates to DOT

• Excellent financial management skills, including an understanding of large IT programs

• Active in Government/Industry partnership organizations

Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
