SAIC has an opportunity for an IT Procurement Analyst to join an elite systems engineering and technical advisory team supporting a government customer in Northern Virginia.  SAIC seeks an experienced, detail-oriented candidate with polished communication and organizational skills.  The successful candidate contributes to the government’s and our program’s success by:

  • Identifying and tracking new customer IT purchase orders through the customer's logistics procurement process;
  • Working with geographically separated offices to identify hardware and software requirements for purchase;
  • Engaging with vendors to identify best prices for hardware, software, and support services;
  • Submitting customer hardware and software requests through the corporate IT process;
  • Working with the customer Information System Owner to review and approve purchase requests as part of the Government Approval Authority process; and
  • Providing customer leadership with a weekly procurement status and budget update.

This position requires full-time, onsite work; there is no telework option.

Qualifications

 

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Information Systems, or relevant degree
  • At least six years IT procurement experience, with at least three (3) years of Intelligence Community experience in IT procurement, logistics, or both

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of basic IT and cybersecurity concepts, including layered defense and cloud operations
  • Hands-on experience
    • Tracking a budget for a USG customer
    • Collaborating with IT vendors for hardware, software, and support services
    • Performing staff work for a Big Five IC customer (either as an individual contributor or in a leadership role)
    • Coordinating with and intermediating between government personnel
  • Developing reports and briefings for senior government personnel
  • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience within the IC Big 5 within the past five (5) years
  • Active DoDD 8140 cyber certification at IAT Level 2 (i.e., Security+ CE)
  • Previous work experience supporting remote customers
  • Previous experience writing on deadlines measured in eight hours or less

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
