Description

SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to augment guided weapons research, development, modeling, analyses, and simulation of munition system concepts for the U.S. Air Force Munitions Directorate, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The network engineer will research, develop, and test cyber and network capabilities in tandem with hardware-in-the-loop, constructive and virtual simulation, physics, and digital twin experts.  The network engineer will work with a team of subject matter experts in a laboratory environment.

The engineer will provide:

  • Cybersecurity experience for the Science and Technology, Advanced, Research Network (STARNet) effort at AFRL. 
  • Cybersecurity subject matter expertise to a team of mid-level to senior network and systems engineers
  • Generate network and security requirements, evaluation of digital endpoint artifacts, and apply best practices throughout R&D cycles—RMF, STIGs.
  • Plan, lead and conduct network penetration tests of digital endpoint constructs.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Evaluate inter-endpoint security, latency, performance, and attack resiliency.
  • Document all research, analysis, and findings.
  • Assist in the development and support of cyber modeling and simulation.
  • Assist in the development of endpoint security requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in Cybersecurity
  • Advanced experience with SCAP, STIG’s, vulnerability assessments, vulnerability resolution, security scans, and systems update deployment
  • Advanced experience with audits, logs, and cybersecurity focused dashboards
  • Experience with configuration management platforms such as Ansible, Puppet
  • Familiarity with Git, Subversion, or Mercurial
  • Must have a Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Background in IoT, IoT Security, Software Defined Networking, Infrastructure as Code, (or a combination of any listed) highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) network engineering or information systems security with experience in networking.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience with PowerShell
