SAIC is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to be a part of our team at Hanscom AFB, MA. As a member of the team, you'll be providing installation and management support to a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) system at Hanscom AFB, MA

The CSfC development and management is part of a greater project to provide key design, installation, and research support to successfully implement a multilevel security (MLS) system meant to allow greater collaboration between various government networks. This project is on the forefront of new technologies and concepts including zero trust architecture, and SAIC will design, build, and test systems meant to challenge the existing paradigm of the USAF enterprise network architecture. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and install IT systems with an emphasis on networking, VPN, and system monitoring and auditing.
• Manage firewalls, IPS, switches, certificate servers, and VPN components to maintain system functionality.
• Troubleshoot and remediate hardware and network connectivity issues, including interfacing with vendors to resolve functional/security issues.
• Participate in change control board process for controlled and deliberate system changes.
• Develop and execute test plans to demonstrate system adherence to functional requirements.
• Configure network devices according to DoD STIG standards and vendor recommendations.
• Perform security and IA assessments to include IAVA, IAVM, and STIG assessments and integration testing and provide recommendations to improve performance/security.
• Install and configure remote site CSfC instantiations based on customer direction.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Experience with Cisco Nexus switches, Firepower Firewall/IPS, and Firepower Management Center (FMC)
• Experience with Cisco ASR1001-HX routers
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco FlexVPN
• Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols
• Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with CSfC installations and deployments
• Experience with configuring and deploying Aruba Mobility Controllers
• Experience with certificate management

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
