SAIC is seeking a Signature Reduction (SR) analyst to work with a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers, focused on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies in the cyber-realm.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Signature Reduction (SR) analyst and Subject Matter Expert within a Counterintelligence and National Security Directorate under the Department of Navy
  • Demonstrate proficiency integrating policy requirements, training methodology, and identifying risk & vulnerabilities in order to enable support to Signature Reduction, Sensitive Activities, and intelligence-related activities
  • Monitor the overall SR program to ensure its applicability and effectiveness for near and long term operations, taking into consideration the impact of various factors including technology, social networking, and biometrics
  • Develop and provide well-written SR plans and assessments; prepare reports, briefings, senior level correspondence, and staff action packages in support of DoD and IC requirements
  • Collaborate with senior staff within the IC, OSD, Military Services, Combatant Commands, and other Non-DOD Federal Departments and Agencies on policy related issues
  • Participate in SR community working groups, training events, and utilize SR mechanisms as operationally required
  • Must be able to operate in a diverse, evolving, and high profile environment
  • Travels throughout the National Capital Region, to include Quantico and Ft Meade
  • Works in a team of various government, subcontractor, and SAIC personnel

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of nine (9) years of experience within the US Military and/or US Intelligence community with a Bachelor's Degree in Intelligence Studies, International Studies, or a related field (in-field experience may be substituted for education)
  • Completion of Advanced Technician's Course and/or Advanced Planners Course (eg. SOST 1209, EDUC 2501, or the Commercial Signature Reduction Training Course)
  • Possesses knowledge of applicable SR policies, directives, regulations, and requirements
  • Experience conducting SR missions and/or program analysis, to include advising management and operators on SR threats, risks, and proposed courses of action
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and ongoing projects while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures
  • Effective communication skills, including written and briefing (in English) to engage successfully with senior executives, general officers, as well as action officers within SR community
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of popular, legacy, and new social media, blog sites, and mobile applications
  • Knowledge of military operations, terminology, and structure

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Former Military Intelligence experience (35F, 35L, 35M, 14N, 1NX, 1A8, 0210, 0211, or equivalent)
  • Active Poly (must be able to take/pass “at-will”)

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with ability of obtain SCI; and pass a polygraph (PR within 6 years)
