Job Description


SAIC is looking for a sharp, organized Executive Assistant with superior time management skills.  As the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of the National Intelligence Community (NIC), you will provide day-to-day support to a dynamic leadership team assisting with meeting preparation and note taking, calendar management, booking travel and submitting expense reports, coordinating luncheons and events, and performing other standard administrative duties that help the NIC remain organized as a whole. 

The candidate will support the leadership team in developing and compiling agendas, materials, and presentations for meetings, as well as assisting in the preparation and analysis of various metrics for review.

Standard Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Calendar management for the Vice President of the National Intelligence Community Business Unit.
  • Action Items (AIs) and note taking during meetings. Distributing AIs and following up to ensure completion.
  • Reserving conference rooms and coordinating meeting invitations with parties both internal and external to SAIC.  This process will utilize in-person, virtual (Zoom, Teams, etc), or a hybrid setting.
  • Purchasing and receiving items in support of day-to-day functional tasks for the Business Unit such as office supplies, catering for business-related gatherings, payment for Leadership Event registration or event space reservation, gifts and gift cards in recognition of employee performance or anniversaries, and the occasional purchase of larger assets through the appropriate SAIC Accounting and Procurement channels.
  • Coordinating with Program and Capture Management Teams on review schedules for program and opportunity status updates to NIC and Sector Leadership.
  • Ownership and maintenance of email distribution groups
  • Maintaining situational awareness with regard to current SAIC and Federal guidelines (relating to: restrictions on gatherings, Program Review briefings, and information disclosure related to CUI, PPI, FOUO) to ensure that BU actions and information sharing are compliant.
  • Coordinating Employee outreach through facilitation of Communities of Interest Groups and recurring Business Unit Newsletters or subsequent communications.
  • Supporting and coordinating NIC facilities moves.
  • Ordering, shipping, and receiving of supplies in support of functional requirements for the BU.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from an accredited institution or at least 5 years work experience as an Executive Assistant
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to professionally handle and manage sensitive material with discretion
  • Can do attitude and willingness to assist where needed
