SAIC has an immediate position for a policy analyst to support the operational activities of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) to provide qualitative, quantitative, and rational analysis for decision-making, policies (e.g., Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leader Development, Material, Personnel, Facilities) or resource allocation in support of US Government and Department of Homeland Security policy goals and objectives. This position can be worked remote nationwide, but employees local to the Hampton Roads, VA or Washington D.C. areas are preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides integral policy and planning support to capability development and integration of solutions and the conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, and documentation to support capability development and procurement decisions.  
  • Acts as a customer advocate on the exploration of technologies to address client business problems.
  • Understanding and experience applying principles, concepts, practices, and standards to homeland security missions desired.     

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 6 years Experience or Masters Degree plus 4 years experience
  • Must have active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain to obtain Top Secret/SCI

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active DHS Suitability, able to work from Hampton Roads, VA or Washington D.C.
  • Previous experience with policy implications of UAS and CUAS systems  

COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees will be required to adhere with SAIC's vaccination policy. All SAIC employees must be fully vaccinated and they must submit proof of vaccination on their first day of employment. Prospective or new employees may seek an exemption to the vaccination requirement at Contact Us and must have an approved exemption prior to the start of their employment. Customer site vaccination requirements, if more strict, will take precedence over SAIC's vaccination policy.
Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
