JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will support the Space and Missiles Systems Center (SMC) Portfolio Architect (ZA) office to provide strategic planning and execution support for SMC’s semi-annual Architecture Baseline Review(s). The ABR is SMC’s forum for evaluating, analyzing, evolving and collaborating on technology needs and to define material solutions ranging from experiments, demonstrations, prototypes, program of record modifications and new program initiatives to fill current and future United States Space Force (USSF) Capability/Cross-Mission Area mission gaps.
The candidate will be required to collaborate with the following organizations, as appropriate: 1) SMC’s Corps, 2) ZA’s Capability Area Integration Leads, 3) USSF Advanced Concepts and Missions Process (ACMP) Team, 4) USSF Enterprise Space Architecture Office (ESAO) and its successors, 5) Capability Area Teams (CATs), 6) Capability Collaboration Teams (CCTs), 7) Laboratories and Govt Entities (eg NASA, DOE, MDA…).
The candidate will support SMC/ZAD, to improve the survivability (resilience) of the USSF Enterprise Architecture against adversary attacks by conducting semi-annual ABRs that enable government decision makers to prioritize and select experiments, demonstrations, prototypes, program of record modifications and new program initiatives to enable the USSF 2030 Space Vision. This effort also supports the prioritization of analysis and partnerships needed to ensure the best capability solutions are pursued. This effort is to provide the Government with the subject matter expertise to assist in providing the following knowledge, skills, abilities and expertise outlined in tasks provided by the portfolio architect.
