Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the US Navy in Bedford, IN.


  • Researches, designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems. Position is in direct support of the tasking received from JXV Engineers at NSWC Crane and SAIC engineer and will provide engineering support and integration for the design, development, production, test, and sustainment of CAC2S Small Form Factor System. 
  • Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use. 
  • Have the knowledge of circuit and transformer design and proficient working knowledge of Electrical test equipment (Impedance analyzer, O-Scoop, Partial Discharge equipment, and programing a basic controllers).
  • Be proficient at reading and developing engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. 
  • This position supports the Marine Corps Command and Control Branch and the candidate needs to have good hands-on, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. 
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
  • Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met. Be able to effectively communicate.
  • Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.  Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. 



  • Analyzing and implementing procedures and processes for the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the programs/projects.
  • Must have the knowledge of circuit and transformer design and proficient working knowledge of Electrical test equipment
  • Be proficient at reading and developing engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of all technical documentation, specifications, standards, procedures, technical/engineering reference books, tests, and publications.



  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Full DoD Secret Security Clearance.
