You will be supporting Business Process & Analysis for the Business Development Operations team working in areas related to business analytics and forecasting, proposal preparation, and competitive intelligence. This internship will provide both formal and experiential learning with coaching, mentoring and feedback that will prepare you for an entry level business development or business analytics position.

Business Development Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Research market landscape for Government services sales initiatives - including assisting the contract pursuit teams with monitoring, tracking and analyzing market trends, opportunities, and competitors
  • Perform analysis on the sector’s pipeline of sales opportunities under the supervision of a business analytics specialist: develop award forecasts, submit projections
  • Assist in tracking business development spending versus budget
  • Collaborate with senior SAIC sales leadership, solutions architects, program managers, proposal managers, and others to win new business
  • Ensure CRM sales data remains accurate for reporting to leadership
  • Assist in generating Procurement Action Requests and Purchase Requisitions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate and two years of college education completed with major in business or related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal; communication skills; and superior writing skills
  • U.S. Citizen

Desired:

  • Proficiency in advanced features of Microsoft Excel i.e. pivot tables, formulas
  • Familiarity / programming experience in PowerBI, data science
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods

Postion offers ability to work remotely; preference for candidates to be located in Eastern Time Zone.

Flexible, scheduled hours working approximately 15-20 hours per week

Target salary range: Up to $25,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
