SAIC has an opening for a Senior Principal Solutions Architect to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

 

  • Own technical solution development across company proposals, capabilities statements, RFI responses, and technical content for marketing materials
  • Work closely with Capture Managers, SMEs, and business/technical stakeholders to lead solutioning meetings early in the bid life cycle and create accurate, viable solutions approaches to solve complex customer challenges and needs
  • Able to codify and articulate approaches in standard architecture and business process modeling tools
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand technical knowledge and best practices
  • Demonstrate ongoing knowledge expansion across the software engineering domain in particular
  • Work with Solution Architects to build high quality, well-articulated technical approach content and graphics for reuse and tailoring across multiple proposals
  • Create technical content across multiple documents with competing deadlines
  • Actively contribute to internal IP and BDMF (business development management framework) assets through ongoing development of technical content

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Ability to take initiative and complete ownership of major, multi-month initiatives and plan, resource, and execute them accordingly
  • Ability to conduct extensive research on technical systems and create system architecture diagrams from scratch based on findings
  • Learn and implement new technical concepts quickly
  • Ability to possess and apply expertise on multiple work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
  • Ability to collect information and synthesize it into comprehensive and logically structured narrative
  • Ability to complete technical writing assignments
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Critical thinking
  • Able to create draft process graphics in MS Visio and/or Powerpoint
  • MS Word skills/proficiency

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of related work experience
  • Proven record of high achievement and commitment to quality work
  • Proven record of desire and ability to learn new subjects
  • Experience conducting architect/SME interview required
  • Experience with writing and research required
