Description
SAIC is seeking a seasoned profesional with Ops Center Networks/Networking and Infrastructure Architecting experience on the Horizon contract to support the U. S. Space Force (USSF) in their efforts to develop and deploy next-generation and advanced capability space control systems. Under the Special Programs (SP) Directorate at the Space Systems Command (SSC), this position - based in Colorado Springs, CO - provides intergation engineering thinking to support development and fielding of a portfolio of programs designed to gain, maintain and exploit space superiority. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in operations center architecture and key interfaces as well as familiarity with systems engineering, technical program management and have the ability to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short term work suspense and rapidly evolving customer needs.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translates requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex solutions and integrating architecture. May include analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and may develop architecture baselines. Assists with and leads development of integration, migration plans/schedules. Acts as an advocate for the user/operator as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address operational needs. Often project-based, often working at customer sites, and can oversee fielding of integrated systems.
Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts. Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions, which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically results in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect image of organization's technological capability.
Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical applications.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Experience with SCOOP Prototype capability and Joint Task Force - Space Defense Operations Command and Control
Experience in Space Control
Experience with Data Centers and Multi-Layer/level Security Platforms
Active TS/SCI clearance require with willingness to consent to Poly
