Job Description: SAIC is hiring an IT Operations Manager to support the Army Corp of Engineers. In this role you will be overseeing and managing the program's combined LAN/WAN data network, enterprise applications, server infrastructure, storage systems, vendor telco, VoIP systems, data center/cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies, systems, and applications. This is a great role for someone with relevant experience managing IT Operations, who is interested in playing a critical role in building and growing an integrated, cohesive operation center consisting of a NOC, SOC, and Service Desk. 
 
Location: This is a 100% remote position that can be worked from anywhere within the United States. 
 
Job Duties:
  • Develop and operationalize a fully implementable design for monitoring, management, and security of: enterprise LAN/WAN data network, enterprise applications, server infrastructure, storage systems, vendor telco, VoIP systems, data center/cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies, systems, and applications.
  • Drive industry best practices and processes, compliance, consistency of delivery, and advocacy across the team as well as the entire Operations organization to drive continual improvement
  • Work with the business to develop, enforce and maintain Customer Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Apply ITIL/ITSM principles in an  integrated NOC/SOC environment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience Network Operations, or related IT discipline. 
  • Demonstrated experience in designing/applying operating process expertise in settings such as IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Service Desk, Network Operations Centers, and Data Center operations.
  • Preferred certifications; ITIL, LEAN Six Sigma
  • Experience with ServiceNow. 
  • Broad process experience LEANing IT Service Management and IT Operations practices.
  • Broad IT operational experience leading or supporting an enterprise deployment of selected ITIL/ITSM standard processes
  • Broad experience with ITIL standards and ability to practically apply these standards in a typical customer environment, specifically processes across Value Streams and driving Continuous Improvement
  • Experience in conducting Operational Readiness Assessments
  • Experience in ITSM operations and policy development
  • Experience facilitating LEAN improvement events, Kaizens, and Continual Improvement projects.
  • Extensive ability to perform concurrent tasks in complex environments and adjusting priorities
  • Ability to communicate and modify approach, language, and style to different audiences
  • Must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels
  • Must be a performance-driven team player with an excellent attitude
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze large amounts of data with speed and accuracy as well as detect relationships and make decisions using sound methodical judgment
  • Experience with maturity assessments and design of IT operations and major operating processes
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communications skills necessary to manage the high volume of telephone calls and email involving highly technical issues
  • US Citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance

Desired: 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in LEAN Six Sigma process improvement experience, with a focus on IT Service Management and/or IT Operations Management processes.
  • Preferred certifications; ITIL, LEAN Six Sigma

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
