Position Description:

SAIC is looking for a DI2E Software Engineer in San Diego, CA, who is seeking a challenge and eager to learn and grow supporting our DOD acquisition community. This position assists with the implementation of SW functions and tasks that support various Programs of Record within the Program Executive Office; Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence (PEO C4I) and part of the NAVWAR and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Team. SAIC encourages all qualified candidates to apply for this rewarding work including those with Defense Information Intelligence Enterprise (DI2E) experience and skills.

  • Work proficiently on technical problems and provide solutions using DI2E knowledge, tools and skills:
  • This includes transforming information collected for intelligence needs into forms suitable for further analysis and action. Provide the ability to integrate, evaluate, interpret and predict the current and future operations/physical environment. Provides the ability to present, distribute or make available intelligence, information and environmental content and products that enable better situational awareness to military and national decision makers.
  • Conduct SW activities based on sound engineering practices and understand customer requirements to ensure requirements are consistent with customer budget, schedule, risk profile and organizational/system constraints.
  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.  
  • Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and understanding of DI2E for efficient solutions.
  • Demonstrated application of technical principles, theories, concepts and DI2E. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
  • Ability to recommend/make decisions on project work matters and ensure effective achievement of program, project, and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
  • Experience with Atlassian Project Management Software; Confluence, JIRA and other applications and tools.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors; excellent written and oral communications; ability to work independently or in a team collaborative environment; ability to brief senior government personnel.
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to produce presentations, documentation, and schedules

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

Desired Skills and Certifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of PEO C4I, NAVWAR and/or NIWC. One or more of the following certifications: DAWIA, PMP, INCOSE, Agile/DevOps/SecDevOps.
