SAIC is seeking an intermediate Cloud Automation Engineer who has experience with software development and automation with one or all of the following: AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI. In this role, you will work with individuals from a variety of technical and functional disciplines to provide guidance on cloud-based solutions that meet overall business needs while also embedding necessary security controls from end to end.  This position is 100% remote. 
 
Duties of this position will include:
● Automating cloud solutions using tools standard in the cloud / DevSecOps industry.
● Engaging for cloud development, deployment, or migration projects to ensure end-to-end security of business solutions.
● Performing evaluations of cloud vendor services to understand the capabilities of the services and understanding the security controls that may be required and/or recommended for secure use of the service.
● Infrastructure as Code mindset.  All resources and policies deployed into the various cloud accounts will need to be managed with Terraform. 
 
A development background, familiarity with cloud-based tools, automation, DevSecOps, and full-stack engineering. Effective verbal and written communication skills and management of priorities and deliverables, plus the ability to work within a team environment are expected. Heavy collaboration and consulting with numerous business area/business unit representatives, adherence to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct in addition to the ability to work flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and nine 9 years or more overall experience
• 1-2 years’ experience with Terraform and Vault 
• 2-3 years’ knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI trainable/ability to learn/advance knowledge
• Familiarity with the following technologies:
  • Datadog
  • Okta
  • ServiceNow
  • Various CSP CLI utilities
• Experience with requirements gathering, developing technical specifications, and architecture diagrams
• Experience with managing multiple production workloads in various cloud environments
• Experience utilizing and developing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) Pipelines
• Demonstrated Team Player, initiative/autonomous participation in role
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communicator to both management and technical staff
• Demonstrated strong and effective Customer Care skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment
• AWS/Azure/GCP Associate-level certifications
