JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops, implements, and/or maintains one or a combination of accounting systems. Uses accounting and financial procedures in resolving problems and preparing recommendations for management based on the financial results of programs. This family is also responsible for analyzing current and past budgets, preparing and justifying budget requests, and allocating funds according to spending priorities. Individuals in these roles analyze accounting records to determine financial resources required to implement programs and submits recommendations for budget allocations recommend approval or disapproval of requests for funds and advise staff on cost analysis and fiscal allocations. Duties may also include consolidating the budget estimates of several organizational units and preparing a unitary budget itemizing production costs, for consideration and action by upper echelons of management. SCOPE: N/A LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: N/A KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Participates in development of advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation. Establishes operational objectives and assignments. Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies, which affect immediate operation(s) and may have company-wide effect. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Participates in development of solutions to problems of unusually complex, which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation. Challenges are often unique and solutions may serve precedent for future decisions. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory. IMPACT: Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the organization. LIASON: Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI poly
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance Related - possible equivalence with experience - please inquire.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working with the intelligence Community within the financial management discipline, with at least seven (7) years of experience as a financial management analyst.    
  • Must possess at least one - OR be willing to sit for within six months of hire -  one (1) or more of the following certifications: Certified Defense Financial Management (CDFM), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar professional society certifications in financial management.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of data analytic/visualization tools is a plus.
