Description

The Systems Engineer will function as an integral member of a team of Government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support to Project Management Office, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (PMO ASE). The PMO ASE is an acquisition management organization under the Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S).  The team provides acquisition management support, program research, engineering, logistics, and technical support for aircraft survivability equipment.

The candidate will work in the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Product Office supporting the Technical Chief as a Systems Engineer participating in the development of IRCM systems through requirement development, software maturation, component level qualification testing, open-air flight-testing, and system fielding.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience in Systems Engineering; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of established Systems Engineering processes and concepts
  • Experience defining, conducting, and evaluating requirement verification activities
  • Familiar with Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) 
  • Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition and Life Cycle Management System

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with airborne platform products
  • Knowledge of the Army Airworthiness Release (AWR) process
  • Experience with software development, maturation, and testing 
  • Experience with PMO ASE
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including report writing
  • Self-motivated and customer-oriented
