Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary:

SAIC is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to support Range Network System Engineering & Integration (RN SE&I) activities.  Activities will be in support of the United States Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Center (SMC).  The Range Network Systems Engineering & Integration (RN SE&I) contract provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support to the USAF Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Range and Network Directorate (SMC/RN). RN acquires services to modernize and sustain the Satellite Control Network (SCN), the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS), and the Space Training Acquisition Office (STAO). We are seeking a Technical Lead with experience in Research & Development, Rapid Development or Agile methodologies for the RN SE&I contract to support the SCN government team.

Job Specific Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

• System Engineer for rapid proof of concept efforts for future state SCN projects
• Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines and ensure designs developed by project teams meet requirements
• Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of SCN systems.
• Conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
• Conduct Readiness Assessment for each milestone or sprint (PRR, PDR, CDR, IRR and TRR)
• Developing Entrance Criteria, Acceptance Criteria and Exit Criteria for design reviews

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• DoD Secret security clearance
• Experience with rapid product development in high complexity environments.
• Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
• Demonstrates understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies.
• Knowledge and background with architecture, systems and subsystem requirements, systems engineering processes, and development and maintenance of CONOPS.
• Experience with engineering tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, Sharepoint, and Project.
• Demonstrates ability to lead technical teams in identifying customer needs and direct experience working with SMC Government Project Officers and government engineers.
