SAIC has an opening for qualified candidates to work on internal R&D projects to develop cutting edge Cyber tools.  The qualified candidate would be responsible for building offensive and exploitative cyber capabilities to increase SAIC’s offerings in this area.  Applicants will have excellent system engineering and reverse engineering skills along with prove software development prowess in order to be successful in establishing and growing a team to develop capabilities in SAIC’s attack lab as well as in future customer facilities.  SAIC is seeking this team leader (described here) as well as mid and entry level candidates to become productive team members in the Cyber Tools Development Team.  If you have what it takes to establish and lead a cutting edge team of Cyber hackers into a finely tuned Cyber Tools development team, or if you would like to be a part of that team, you are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities include:

     Working with SAIC’s Cyber Innovation Factory Leadership, develop a prioritized backlog of capabilities prioritized to meet SAIC’s growth objectives as well as a detailed plan of actions and milestones to achieve them.  The team leader will be responsible for the design, development, testing and delivery of innovative Cyber tools as a part of SAIC’s capability portfolio.  The team lead will also be tasked with the staffing, growth and relevance of that team to keep up with the fast paced and rapidly changing Cyber landscape.  Some specific duties include, but are not limited to, are:

 

1. Establish the Cyber tools development team
2. Establish and maintain a flexible Cyber Tools development environment in SAIC’s Cyber Attack Lab
3. Establish backlog for capability development
4. Establish and execute the development of software engineering capabilities (solutions, enhancements, and improvements) to be integrated into a productive development environment
5. Design, develop and deliver Cyber Tools to achieve strategic goals on time and on budget
6. Assist in proposal development/responses in pursuit of new Tool development customers
7. Assist SAIC Cyber Leadership in strategic planning as it pertains to Cyber tool Development and capability development. 
8. Provide recommendations for hardware and software related to Cyber Tool development as required.

Qualifications

Education:

• Desired:  Bachelor of Science in: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar computer/cyber focused curriculum. 
• Required: Bachelor of Science in:  a technical field such as Information Technology with a proven successful history and training in software development and suitable work experience.  Extremely focused work history in Offensive Cyber exploitation development, and a demonstrated ability to architect, write and deliver quality software may be substituted for college degree. 

Experience:

• Required:
  • 7+ years of relevant software development experience
  • 7+ years of Software development leadership experience
  • 3+ years of agile development leadership experience
  • 1+ years of Cyber tool Development or related offensive Cyber experience

• Desired:
  • 10+ years of relevant software development experience
  • 7+ years of Software development leadership experience
  • 5+ years of agile development leadership experience
  • 5+ years of Cyber tool Development or related offensive Cyber experience

Special:

              Candidates should have an existing TS/SCI DoD security clearance.  However, considerations can be made for candidates who do not currently meet these security requirements should still apply provided they are willing and able to meet the following criteria in applying for a security clearance.

• Must be United States citizen
• Must possess an SSBI that is current within the last 5 years
• Must possess a current DoD TS Clearance
• Must be eligible for TS/SCI access
• Must disclose ongoing foreign contacts
• Must disclose all Foreign travel.

• Must disclose any financial issues such as wages garnished, referred to a collection agency, have tax liens or filed for bankruptcy

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
