Job Description


SAIC’s National Security Group (NSG) is seeking an Intermediate Director’s Action Group (DAG) Action Officer to fill a position on the LANDMARK AOS program. LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. 

This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. To qualify, you must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.


The candidate will support the customer’s Action Officer functions at the Directorate-level, providing expert advice, assistance, and assessments for organizational and business improvement efforts.

Key functions include:
  • Directing/overseeing the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks
    • Manage the action tracking system and ensure the customer’s group is responsive to daily action items
    • Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines
    • Prepare reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions
  • Develop the Weekly Activity Report (WAR)
    • Consolidate office-level input
    • Draft WAR executive summary and coordinate strategic messaging
  • Coordinate and maintain Corporate Board meeting schedule
    • Participate and capture action items and monitor the closure of action items
  • Conduct strategic planning and provide logistical support for meetings
  • Draft correspondence as needed by leadership
  • Perform reviews and provide technical edit support to all official documents
  • Other duties as assigned pertaining to corporate/strategic communication


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Business related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years within the customer organization; or 10 years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer offices
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requirements and tasks and managing longer-term tasks as well as short-term obligations
  • Must communicate effectively with senior management, as well as employees at all levels
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong writing/reporting and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible in a constantly changing business landscape

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of IC and/or DoD spacecraft systems
  • Knowledge of IC and/or DoD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management
  • Demonstrated experience briefing senior leaders
  • Agile or DevOps certification (+)
