Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in Colorado Springs, CO who assist the US Space Force in developing and deploying the next generation of satellites and ground systems for missile warning (MW) and environmental monitoring (EM) capabilities.  These systems alert senior military officials when missile launches occur around the globe, as well as enable global naval vessel and troop movements by providing mission-critical weather data to ensure safe passage.  Our RS SE&I team has an immediate need for a Program Schedule Analyst to build, modify, update, and analyze program schedules to identify and support the management of risks, issues, and interdependencies. Candidate will support the contractor (SE&I) team that in turn supports the Space and Missile Systems Center Remote Sensing Directorate (SMC/RS).  The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of program schedule related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly customer-service friendly, well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting a diverse team.  During initial training, the candidate will conduct organizational planning, training and support of the SE&I team to improve overall efficiency and process definition.  Major duties of the position include: 

  • Support system engineering transition and integration planning for SMC enterprise space, ground, hardware, software, and fixed site ground systems.
  • Conduct planning and scheduling analyses to manage risk and ensure proper levels of margin are incorporated.
  • Interact with the prime contractor and government project engineers to ensure system requirements are coordinated, planned, and scheduled for implementation.
  • Perform technical reviews and assessments; coordinating analysis efforts, methods, and techniques; developing products and briefings; performing technical engagement with, and briefings for and to, government customers, stakeholders, and the prime contractor. 
  • Identify operational and technical issues, evaluating solutions and advising Government customer on possible Courses of Action (COAs).
  • Define and verify innovative solutions to complex mission critical problems.
  • Integrate activities over the lifecycle of systems in support of common mission areas to include pre-contractual, development and production, as well as operations and sustainment.
  • Coordinating internal and customer training
  • On-boarding new SE&I contractor personnel



TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience 

Required Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Demonstrated customer-service orientation and disposition
  • Knowledge of project integration processes, development lifecycle, and schedule analysis processes
  • Proven office management experience
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft SharePoint

Desired Requirements

  • Technical writing or editing experience
  • Experience developing and/or facilitating training material and classes
  • TS/SCI

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
