Job Description


SAIC is pursuing the opportunity to support the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) Wallops Island, VA Programs Support Services.   

Positions are contingnet upon contract award which is expected early 2022 and will be located in Wallops Island, VA.

Under a key component of the Naval Surface  Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division ( MSWCDD) The Surface Combat Systems Center SCSC) will provide a wide variety of program services supporting AEGIS, AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Ships Self Defense System (SSDS) and DDG 1000 program support. Support services will be provided for all current future NAVSEA and PEO IWS approved program activities on Wallops Island.  Additionally, this effort will provide for the installation, activation and upgrade of various platform modernization initiatives at Wallops Island.


Career Opportunities:

Most positions will require an Active Secret Level security clearance. Initial Interim Secret clearance is acceptable.

Positions will be available in the following skill areas. Minimum requirements will vary based on role, level, education and experience: 

Provide functional leadership and expertise in the following areas:

  • Program:  Provide technical, engineering, and overall programmatic support for multiple Reimbursable-funded programs and major projects that fall outside SCSC’s primary Aegis & SSDS Mission funding scope
  • Technical:  Maintain and improve site specific switching for current and future capabilities and installations.
  • Operations:  Provide labor and material estimates, conduct routine analysis and provide detailed reports, provide testing and analysis
  • Combat sytems:  Provide comprehensive readiness, preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting support at equipment and system level and restoration of equipment and systems to design specifications for all combat system facilities at SCSC.


Site Locations:

As part of this exciting effort, SAIC is looking for highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill a wide range of positions in:

  • Wallops Island, VA
  • Dahlgren, VA (travel to Wallops Island, VA as needed)








  • Minimum requirements will vary based on role, level, education and experience
  • Ranging from AA to BS
  • Experience from 3 to 15 years with Navy Combat Weapon Systems including AEGIS, SSDS, DDG 1000, Harpoon Missle systems, Nato Sea Sparrow, CIWS as well as other Various Navy weapon systems



  • Most positions will require an Active Secret Level security clearance
  • Initial Interim Secret clearance is acceptable
