JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC has an opportunity for an Application Packaging Engineer to support the US Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) program. The main focus of this role will on packaging application software for deployment using tools like Flexera Admin Studio and SCCM. 
 
NOTE: This is a 100% virtual / work from home / remote position located anywhere in the CONUS.
 
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Complete packages in accordance customer service level requirements and is responsible for COTS and in-house type applications using Flexera Admin Studio following an established process and workflow.
  • Packaging will consist of building silent installation packages in an MSI/MST format and performing initial installation testing on Windows 10 or other Window Server before handing off to the client for user acceptance testing and eventual deployment through SCCM
  • Create support documentation for the team and peer groups as needed to include SOPs, general technical bulletins, and troubleshooting workflows as needed.
  • Implement desktop technology solutions that ensure consistency and standardization across the enterprise.
  • Complete packages in a timely manner and responsible for COTS and in-house type applications using Admin Studio following an established process and workflow.
  • Create deployment packages, prepare testing scenarios, impart changes required by test team, and ensure all changes meet the customer’s needs.
  • Create support documentation for the team and peer groups as needed to include SOPs, general technical bulletins, and troubleshooting workflows as needed.
  • Flexera Admin Server maintenance; including software and documentation as needed to support the platform.

Qualifications

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience. Additional four (4) years’ experience in lieu of degree
  • REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: IAT-II (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
  • US Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance
  • Thorough understanding of Windows Installer technology and significant experience configuring applications for silent or unattended deployments.
  • Strong experience utilizing scripting and/or programming languages such as C++ (Visual Studio), VBScript, and PowerShell to automate processes and manage system configuration.
Desired Qualifications: Since this team currently uses Flexera Admin Studio to build software packages, prior experience with the tool is a plus, but not a requirement and can be trained for candidates who have thorough understanding of Windows Installer technology and significant experience configuring applications .
 

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
