Job Description


SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cyber Engineer to join our team in Nevada!

As a member of the team you will providing design, development, and authorization support to facilitate a successful instantiation of a development environment to enable multilevel security (MLS)-aware application development. You will be on the forefront of new technologies and concepts, and SAIC will design, build, test, operate and maintain this environment to support mission-specific applications in a MLS enterprise solution.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • With a team, properly configure operating systems and other networked devices according to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), and vendor best practices
  • Scan systems using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scanning and remediate findings
  • Provide software architecture, systems engineering, security verification and validation
  • Develop evidence and artifacts in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 rev5 and JSIG standards to support a Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization to operation (ATO) decision
  • Assist with developing and maintaining interconnection security agreements with external networks
  • Develop and implement continuous monitoring strategy to maintain a continuous ATO
  • Analyze proposed system, network, and software designs for potential vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigations and/or countermeasures
  • Help develop an application workflow to transfer approved MLS-aware applications into a production environment
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of project requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Clearance Required:  Top Secret/SCI

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience with RMF authorization for Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks
  • DevOps or DevSecOps certification or training
