SAIC is seeking an exceptional individual to support the Air Force's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The GBSD Weapon System is a total replacement of the current Minuteman III weapon system. This is a massive effort with many opportunities. We are seeking an experienced systems engineer with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of the largest Air Force acquisition program with a great company.


Responsibilities of the systems engineer will include:

  • Advising the government on acquisition decisions
  • Supporting major design reviews
  • Drafting/revising acquisition and planning documents
  • Review of contractor decisions, actions and contract deliverables
  • Evaluation of weapon system performance against the system requirements
  • Perform other systems engineering responsibilities as requested by the Government
  • Requirements management and system requirements analysis

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree from an accredited program and 7+ years related experience or Master’s Degree and 5+ years related experience.
  • 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience with SysML or UPDM.
  • Experience with No Magic/Dassault Cameo/MagicDraw.
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with agile development
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs
  • Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
