Job Description


SAIC is seeking candidates to support United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with a focus on survivability, interoperability, reliability, cybersecurity, maintenance, and maintenance upgrades. The successful candidate will be part of the SAIC team, incorporating agile development and operations methodologies and best practices through repeatable agile approach to capabilities assessments and modeling systems in a cost-effective way to explore and document requirements, system characteristics, and capabilities to address reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, interoperability, and both organizational and technical requirements.

The candidate for this position provides technical analysis and capabilities solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors through imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions, consistent with organization objectives.

Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME).  Security engineering expertise for survivability and reliability analysis with regards to supporting requirements analysis, alternative identification and analysis, metrics determination, baseline analysis, CONOPs development and model inputs, test development, simulation and validation & verification. 

 System Engineer:

  • Provides in depth System Engineering experience and expertise with focus on future software and Database capabilities throughout the range of the OSI model to include assessing optimization, vulnerability, validation and prototyping, including addressing uncertainty, alternatives analysis, metric development, CONOPs analysis, model analysis, and simulation. 
  • USSTRATCOM domain expertise including requirements analysis, systems integration and prototyping; requirements identification, collection, prioritization, management and analysis, analysis of alternatives, market research, CONOPs development, modeling, simulation, prototyping, and testing.
  • Evaluates and provides recommended solution sets for future capabilities necessary to protect system and software solution capabilities to address reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, interoperability, and both organizational and technical requirements.





EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience.


  • Shall possess at least twelve (12) years of operational experience with requirements analysis, software, and systems engineering, integration (particularly systems integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), and ISPAN Mod Integration requirements) and operational knowledge of the relationship between operational, technical, and systems architectures.
  • Shall possess at least five (5) years of relevant operational experience in USSTRATCOM military operations and strategic domain knowledge.
  • Shall possess the following experience with relational databases such as Sybase, Oracle, and the SQL language: At least twelve (12) years of relevant operational experience including experience in diagnosing and correcting performance problems with UNIX and X86 systems, mid-tier application and web servers, and relational database management systems such as Sybase and Oracle.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must possess active TS/SCI Clearance
