Description

SAIC is looking for a quality assurance manager to lead a team ensuring compliance with customer and corporate standards in the delivery of a nationally critical suite of spacecraft command and control systems.  The QA Manager must know commonly accepted quality standards and have proven leadership skills.  They will be comfortable engaging QA in waterfall and Agile projects. They will lead, maintain, mature and modernize QA processes and policies. They will work with SAIC leadership to ensure work practices reflect best practices for product delivery and outstanding customer service. They will lead a QA team that will inspect, audit, report and improve on product delivery approaches and methods.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Work shoulder to shoulder with program and Customer personnel to execute to the Quality Management Plan, deliver metrics and support CDRL deliverables
  • Apply and improve metrics for and accuracy of all tracked and reported QA data
  • Develop and implement a long-term Quality Management improvement strategy
  • Create and manage internal processes and procedures to ensure personnel possess the certification and qualifications necessary for them to perform their duties – i.e. their receipt and maintenance of ISO, CMMI, CMMC and potentially other certifications
  • Work closely with mission assurance and risk management to generate corrective action plans
  • Development and delivery of oral and written briefings to peers, customer and SAIC Leadership

 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering with fourteen (14) or more years relevant experience, Master’s degree and twelve (12) years or more experience, or PhD and nine (9) years or more experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Minimum 8 years of Quality Management experience
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, CMMI and ITIL4
  • Ability to train peers and leadership in all aspects of the Quality Management Program
  • Strong communication skills and experience, including developing briefings that effectively communicate goals and activities
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, interpret, and communicate complex information and data
  • Experience conducting internal audits


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the aerospace/defense program management workspace, particularly USSF
  • Able to work successfully and autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with satellite command and control networks operations, modernization, recapitalization
  • Able to engage Engineering to identify, assess, adopt and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience using scientific methods to establish metrics and statistical methods to assess metrics
  • Experience executing a QA program for systems engineering, engineering and other disciplines
  • Agile, Agile/Scrum, SAFe and/or Kaizen experience
