SAIC has a contingent opportunity to support The Library of Congress(the Library), an agency of the Legislative Branch of the Federal Government, is the world’s largest and most comprehensive library, maintaining a collection of more than 162 million items– many of them unique and irreplaceable – in more than 450 languages. Information Technology (IT) plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Library and is a heterogeneous environment that is managed and maintained using an industry best practice System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) process. 

The Library’s SDLC supports the Agile/iterative delivery model. The Library’s PMLC and SDLC include the necessary processes, information and supporting tools that assist project managers and project teams in following Federal and industry best practices in project management and software development while maintaining awareness of the Library business priorities and the IT investment processes. The agile approach improves the customer value delivered by iterative customer feedback into solutions.   

  Frontend Web Developer: Use modern techniques and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks like LESS and SASS, Responsive Design, Bourbon, Twitter Bootstrap).  JavaScript development using modern standards, including strict mode compliance, modularization techniques and tools, and frameworks and libraries (e.g., jQuery, MV* frameworks such as Backbone.js and Ember.js, D3).  Consume RESTful APIs. Use and work in team environments that use agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Lean). Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub.  Ensure Section 508 Compliance.  Use and work with open source solutions and community.  Create web layouts from static images.  Create views and templates in full-stack frameworks like Rails, Express, or Django

Qualifications

Public Trust clearance

BS Degree

4+ years of: Development Experience, Agile Methodology, JAVA/PYTHON/ANGULAR 


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
