SAIC is seeking a Logistics associate to join our team in Panama City, Florida. The candidate will help to identify and achieve US Navy life cycle logistics milestones for the Modular Integration Program contract. 

This position will work with a logistics and engineering team for execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes including maintenance, supply support, transportation and logistics plans. This role includes developing and interpreting maintenance procedures, assisting with formulating a response to fleet questions and issues, and analyzing technical hardware and software problems associated with shipboard maintenance.  

Responsibilitles: 

  • Candidates for this position will need excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities and tasks.
  • This position involves direct contact with customers and fleet users, and demands performance that is both detail oriented and time critical.
  • Technical writing skills are required to collaborate with logisticians to produce or update logistics documentation.  
  • The ability to exercise independent judgment while working on multiple projects of diverse scope will be key to successful performance of the task requirements associated with this position.
  • Some travel (roughly 10%) is expected as needed to support program objectives. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree and zero (0) years related experience. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Relability Centered Management certifications levels 1 or 2
  • Experience with Naval systems and mine counter measures is preferred

Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.  A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance will be required prior to first day of employment.
