Job Description


We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Configuration Management Analyst to join our team in Alexandria, VA.

 Candidate will support configuration management and deployments for software enhancements, operations and maintenance of mission essential IT systems.  Candidate is responsible for documenting, scheduling, and coordinating software releases and supporting the application teams during off hour deployments. Works with team leads to determine if software updates are ready for release. Manages software builds across SAT and Production environments. Works closely with project teams to resolve compatibility issues; ideally making sure that required configuration items and dependencies are aligned.  The individual must be comfortable working in a large team while retaining the ability to work independently to manage planned releases.  Experience working in an agile environment is a plus; strong communication skills are required to communicate with development team members, other OIT resources, and Operations staff. May assist in compiling release notes and reports status of release activities.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, test and maintain system management tools for all enterprise components.
  • Monitor and report critical issues and support recovery processes for failures/performance issues. (AppDynamics).
  • Works with project teams to migrate release processes and procedures for cloud
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Write and maintain deployment documents to increase efficiency and lighten deployment steps
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Work with project teams to ensure configuration documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date to include inventory and patch levels of all systems.
  • Provide real time alerts and dashboard information on network performance and availability.
  • Document system configurations to include passwords, access controls, version number, and revision numbers, patch levels, and inventory to include hostnames, TCP/IP addresses, number of processors, and number of cores, memory, and license keys.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree & minimum 2 years of IT related experience or equivalent.


  • The candidate should have 2 – 4 years of experience in IT, with a 1 or more years working in Quality, Configuration and Release Management.
  • Familiarity with AWS environments and deployments using cloud formation
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD process
  • The candidate will need to show initiative and gain an understanding the application components, external/internal interfaces, dependencies and downstream systems. Will work closely with the other branches to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
