SAIC has been awarded a task to support the Office of Experimental Sciences (NA-113) Technical, Analytical, Programmatic and Integration Support Services.  This organization is a key part of the U.S. Nuclear Weapons Program.  It addresses both basic and applied science and engineering associated with weapon design, engineering, margins of uncertainty, development of diagnostics and major experimental facilities.  It works closely with the Los Alamos, Livermore, and Sandia National Laboratories and the Nevada Nuclear Security Site (old Nevada Test Site).  Also works with the nuclear weapon production sites and DoD relevant weapon system program offices.

Serves as the alter ego for the Director and has the knowledge, experience and sagacity to act as the Director in his or her absence.  Has general knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons science portfolio and expertise in several specific aspects of it.  Skilled in program and project management.  No advanced technical degree required but experience as a technically oriented generalist able to evaluate and assign complex technical tasks to staff is needed.  Direct experience with the U.S. nuclear weapons program is desired.  Experience with complex national security and/or DOD weapon programs can be substituted.  Experience in the proper use and handling of classified information desired.  Prior experience as an Authorized Derivative Classifier for DOE or a comparable role in support of another federal agency desired.Serves as the alter ego for the Director and has the knowledge, experience and sagacity to act as the Director in his or her absence.  Has general knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons science portfolio and expertise in several specific aspects of it.  Skilled in program and project management.  No advanced technical degree required but experience as a technically oriented generalist able to evaluate and assign complex technical tasks to staff is needed.  Direct experience with the U.S. nuclear weapons program is desired.  Experience with complex national security and/or DOD weapon programs can be substituted.  Experience in the proper use and handling of classified information desired.  Prior experience as an Authorized Derivative Classifier for DOE or a comparable role in support of another federal agency desired.

 

Qualifications

Bachelors and sixteen (16) years or more experience; Masters and fourteen (14) years or more experience; PhD or JD and twelve (12) years or more experience.


Target salary range: $195,001 - $205,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
