SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Geospatial Engineer to conduct GEOINT User Outreach for the Electro-Optical System Program Office (ESPO).  ESPO is responsible for the development, production, launch & initialization of imagery satellite systems. ESPO Outreach collaborates with other NRO Directorates and Offices, Mission Partners, Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly to start. 

The successful candidate will have a background in space systems, platforms and/or imagery products necessary to provide advisory and assistance support to user engagements with NGA, the DoD, and the IC. Additionally, the Outreach Expert will function as the ESPO point of contact to facilitate interactions on studies and the various efforts across the community.

Key skills / duties include:

  • Work in an interactive team environment with Government customer leads, satellite developers, and other subject matter experts
  • Improve the IC and DOD awareness of electro-optical GEOINT systems and capabilities and encourage existing and potential customer use and interaction with the GEOINT Collaboration Center (GCC)
  • Collect, understand, and convey current and emerging customer needs, including tasking, back to the ESPO, other directorates, as needed, and partner agencies, in order to provide timely and relevant data, services, and solutions to both traditional and non-traditional users.
  • Present Intelligence Highlights brief to attendees of monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
  • Respond to TIERs assigned to ESPO Outreach
  • Coordinate, maintain, and track GEOINT Outreach visits
  • Maintain an up-to-date GEOINT Overview brief.
  • Work with the GEOINT Front Office to conduct GEOINT 101 and 202 courses
  • Respond to other NRO Directorate requests for GEOINT presentations
  • Integrate feedback from users to understand and highlight how systems are currently being used to inform definition of future capabilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to Government Points of Contact to assure routine actions are addressed; provide recommendations/products that reflect the mission and technical capabilities of systems
  • Liaise with mission analysis, acquisition, and requirement teams to ensure accurate and consistent messaging to externals
  • Support technical and programmatic reviews and meetings, as required

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.  

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree
  • 7 years' experience in GEOINT systems operations, mission planning, and collaboration with Defense or National intelligence user communities
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective briefings and presentations to audiences of varied levels of technical systems knowledge and operational experience
  • Demonstrated experience and thorough knowledge of NRO GEOINT systems
