Job Description


SAIC anticipates a requirement for multiple Engineering Technicians to support the Corrosion Control Contractor Engineering Technical Services (CETS) contract.  These positions will be located at various Navy and Marine Corps installations across the US and some located at OCONUS locations.  These positions are contingent upon contract award and part of an incumbent capture. 

The technicians will support Navy Aviation maintenance control at world-wide Navy and Marine Corps Fleet shore activities associated with instructing and training military and civilian personnel in prevention, inspection, and treatment of aircraft corrosion.  The positions require a well-rounded combination of formal education, training, and experience in the theory and application of aviation maintenance control and scheduling, performing maintenance training, and continuous process improvement using industry standard project management and execution standards such as PMI, ISO, and CMMI.    Additionally, possession of a good working knowledge of technical disciplines other than the technicians specialty (such as higher mathematics, engineering principles, and the physical sciences) is ideal.  Possession of superior oral and written communications skills and the ability to achieve desired outcomes without direct supervision is imperative in order to successfully perform the duties of this position.  The technicians must be able to work on technical projects in a distributed team environment and solve moderately complex problems without supervision.





  • High School diploma or GED; AND Technical Training in a RELEVANT TECHNICAL FIELD
  • At least five (5) years of practical (hands-on) experience within the past seven (7) years. Experience should be in direct support of aviation maintenance control.
  • Two (2) years of this experience must have been at or above the military E-6 level or the non-military equivalent.
  • Non-military equivalent experience level is at or above senior journeyman level, Senior Electronics or Engineering Technician level, etc. Navy Aviation instructor, continuous process improvement, and/or aviation maintenance scheduling experience is desired.

  • Navy ""A"" and/or ""C"" schools or service equivalent schools
  • Accredited Vocational Education Institutions
  • OEM/Factory technical training programs related to the system(s)/equipment being supported
  • Navy Aviation Master Training
  • Continuous process improvement training



  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Some positions will require a Top Secret clearance depending on location
