SAIC is seeking an EIAMDC Analyst and Innovation SME to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program out of Kaiserslautern, Germany.

 

AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations. As the lead agent for M&S within the USAF, AFAMS gathers requirements, seeks out potential solutions, and integrates legacy and emerging M&S solutions across the USAF and the DoD. The USAF has an M&S initiative that focuses on providing simulation and synthetic training as the critical capability to augment live training, act as an enabler for critical decision-making, and enhance human performance. In the current resource constrained environment, demand for M&S rises with the continuously evolving need for operational readiness and mission preparedness across the USAF, DoD, and with coalition partners. AFAMS focuses on providing innovative M&S services as the key to meeting this demand.

The EIAMDC Analysis and Innovation SME will:

  • Provide analysis and innovation support including: analysis planning, execution and reporting; assessment planning, execution and reporting; analytical model development; dashboard development; wargamming support; training requirements analysis; M&S analysis; and organizational effectiveness analysis.
  • Identify and submit innovative analytic solutions to enhance existing capabilities.
  • Support and sustain the identification, implementation and sustainment of analytical tools such as:  Rstudio Server and Shiny Server. 
  • Provide quarterly training to advance EIAMDC’s analytical capability.
  • Developed analytical tools, code and other items will remain the property of the government.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and 14 yrs experience, Masters and 12 yrs or PhD/JD and 9yrs experience
  • At least 7 years operations research analysis and/or other technical analytical work experience
  • Experience using R, Python, Excel, Visual Basic for Applications, Tableau
  • Proficient in using Windows and Linux to include administrator functions
  • Outstanding organizational skills, communications skills, and attention to detail and must be able to work well in a team
  • Active TS/SCI

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or other related fields
  • Recent experience using Microsoft Products including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project, SharePoint
  • Experience with AOC Operations
  • Knowledge of IAMD tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and IAMD gaps
  • Experience with LVC exercises
  • Ability to develop exercise assessment plans
  • Familiarity with EUCOM, AFRICOM and NATO operations
  • Familiarity with USAF and Joint policy and doctrine as well as experience with the planning and execution of joint, combined, allied, and other partner nation’s operations and exercises
  • Experience working with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
