Job Description


SAIC is looking for an intern student [undergraduate] to be assigned to the Security department in order to gain experience in their chosen field. The position will be offering entry level enterprise IT support and familiarization with large scale operations and maintenance of our customers enterprise. SAIC's goal is to ensure that the intern will gain work experience, occasionally some university credit, and always an overall feel for the industry they're interning in.

  • Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.
  • Provides technical support, either within the company or in support of customer contracts, on assignments using established procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA Degree in related discipline and one year related experience; Or, High School and two (2) years of related experience. 

  • SharePoint Design/Development experience to work a summer SharePoint site project. 
  • Documented experience with inventory / asset management if possible.
  • This position needs to contribute to the project. 
  • Able to work on government site in the Springfield, VA area. 
  • Interest in the IT professional services field of work after graduation.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player.
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and oral communications abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common office software applications is required.


  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. 
  • Applicants will not be able to start working until they are granted a Secret Personnel Security Clearance by the Department of Defense.
