Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is undergoing an agency-wide supply chain transformation and wants to achieve a modernized supply chain infrastructure by completing new and existing investment programs. Large and complex organizations with high system reliability requirements rely on proper tracking of changes to equipment and systems. In this scenario, the Contractor will play a key role in the FAA's transformation efforts. As the team's Technical Writer, you will be asked to:  
·         Research, develop and document technical documentation
·         Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard-copy documentation
·         Create and review technical documents and project reports, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with technical staff to ensure accuracy of product descriptions, in accordance with FAA standards and procedures, as appropriate
·         Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
·         Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
·         Perform quality control of products delivered during the Acquisition Management System (AMS) process, executive reviews, and external correspondence
·         Facilitate organization and control of program documentation

Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree in business, communications, systems engineering or a related field
·         10+ years of experience in technical writing, reviewing and editing of technical and programmatic documentation
·         Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
·         Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
·         Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking; strong attention to detail
·         Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite to include MS Word
·         Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
·         Strong organizational and time management skills
