SAIC is seeking a seasoned Senior Principal Systems Engineer on the Horizon Program with background in Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) to support the U. S. Space Force (USSF) in their efforts to develop and deploy next-generation and advanced capability space systems. Under the Special Programs (SP) Directorate at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in El Segundo, the position provides systems engineering and acquisition strategy in support of a portfolio of programs designed to gain, maintain and exploit space superiority. This includes space launch, global positioning, military space vehicle communications, defense meteorological space vehicles, range systems, space vehicle control networks, space-based infrared systems, and space situational awareness capabilities. Ideal candidates will have a strong systems engineering, technical program management background and the ability to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short term work suspense and rapidly evolving customer needs.
