Job Description



SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in support of the US Navy ACV program in Panama City Beach, FL.


  • Apply systems analysis and operational procedures to operational systems in a broad area such as requirements development, engineering, interface design, operations, interoperability and maintenance.  
  • Assist in formulating requirements; advise on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised systems; identify omissions and errors in requirements.
  • Assist in the development of system design for approved projects.
  • Provide engineering assessments of the impact and implications of integrating new or revised components into existing systems baselines using standard analysis tools for compliance and/or deviation from published specifications.
  • Provide tracking, fielding, and documentation for Integration into Integrated Product Support.
  • Provide timely and accurate development review and adjudication of specification documents, including Craft Change Documents (CCD), Engineering Change Reviews (ECRs), End of life items, and other craft modifications.
  • Review existing or planned integration initiatives and determine if the current plans can satisfy operational requirements.
  • Evaluate and develop new concepts, or processes.
  • Prepare or review technical reports for use by engineering, operational, or management personnel for long and short range planning or for use by personnel in technical services activities.
  • Development of plans; Generate briefs and tracking metrics; Review of emergent requirements; Assessment of integration options.
  • Review of Craft Alterations (CRAFTALTs), Engineering Change Proposals, Etc..
  • Support for analysis and testing efforts.
  • Support technical meetings.


Education and Experience:

Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in drawing software such as Corel Draw Suite, AutoCad, and SolidWorks
  • Experience assisting in the development of system designs
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing technical reports 
  • Must be a US Citizen

Required Clearance:

  • Must have an active DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance
