SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer Intern to be an integral part of the support and growth efforts for an intelligence community customer supporting diverse missions. The position is located in Chantilly, VA and will support offices primarily in Northern Virginia. The selected candidate will serve as a Technical Writer Intern for a key SAIC IT staffing program.
The intern assists the Program Management Organization (PMO) with developing candidate and technical stories based upon resumes in response to the staffing requirements and job postings. The intern should possess basic technical knowledge, a willingness to perform contextual research on new technologies, a passion for writing, and be a self-starter.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Human Resources, Computer Science, or other related fields requiring strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to quickly search and grasp technical concepts well enough to improve resumes and translate them into clear, easy-to-understand content.
- Demonstrated passion for writing.
- Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate as part of a team.
- Self-starter with the initiative to ask questions and seek out challenges.
- Be able to adjust to constantly changing priorities and demand.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
Target salary range: $25,001 - $50,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
