Description
SAIC is seeking a Configuration Analyst Sr to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Configuration Analyst Sr provides the overall Configuration Management (CM) infrastructure and environment to the product development team. The CM function supports the product development activity so that developers and integrators have appropriate workspaces to build and test their work, and so that all artifacts are available for inclusion in the deployment unit as required. The Configuration Analyst Sr also has to ensure that the CM environment facilitates product review, and change and defect tracking activities. Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) support in the areas of configuration planning, identification, control, accounting, and audits. Duties may include assisting in the development, review, and update of various CM Plans; establish and record the approved technical description of all systems, equipment, and items to be configuration managed by providing a level of detail necessary for management of the acquisitions, tests and evaluations, logistics support, operations, and competitive procurements of these systems and components. The Configuration Analyst Sr is also responsible for writing the CM Plan and reporting progress statistics based on change requests. The Configuration Analyst Sr will also establish the CM Infrastructure, including the responsibility of setting up a CM technology and process. This may comprise an analysis phase consisting of understanding the current environment and a CM technology selection phase consisting evaluating the best CM technology for the needs of the organization. The Configuration Analyst Sr will establish a design phase consisting of defining the processes and standards of using the technology and an implementation phase consisting of installing the CM technology, importing the code, and setting up user workspaces.
