SAIC is seeking a SLEP LCAC Craftmaster/pilot to support our Panama City Beach, FL operations to operate US Navy In-Service-Special Landing Craft, Air Cushion vehicles assigned to NSWC PCD in support of the US Navy Air Cushion Vehicle program

The selected candidate’s responsibilities will be required to accomplish the duties of certified SLEP LCAC Craftmaster/pilot to operate US Navy In-Service-Special Landing Craft, Air Cushion vehicles assigned to NSWC PCD. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Providing test and evaluation services
• Be responsible for monitoring the material condition of the craft during operations and identify discrepancies
• Provide mission readiness recommendations to the Designated Test and Trials Project Engineer or assigned Mission Director
• Participate in all stages of each mission, including planning, data collection, and debriefing
• Be responsible for the safety of the craft and all personnel during the conduct of each mission
• Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing input for Safe Engineering and Operations manuals, Foreign Military Sales for related ACV efforts, technical documentation review/input/technical and operational editing, work with Unit training departments, provide technical and/or operational customer support
• When tasked train and operate Allied Navy ACV with similar design configuration to LCAC.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years related experience.Four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years physically operating US Navy LCAC as a SLEP Craftmaster with prior certification in accordance with US Navy SEAOPS manual S9LCA-AA-SSM-030 Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Standards, Training, and Administration.
• Current certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and First Aid. Qualified as 2nd class swimmers as defined in Section 13.4 of Navy Swimming and Water Survival Instructor’s Manual NETC P1552/16.   
• Meet the medical requirements as set forth in DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, U.S. Coast Guard CG-719K.   
• Interim Secret security clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance   
• Be familiar with MS Office Suite, Adobe Pro,   AutoCAD familiarity a plus.
