SAIC is looking for a Server Specialist to join our team in Washington D.C. This individual will be responsible for service delivery of server and system operations, May include supporting Microsoft, Unix, Linux, and Solaris operating systems. Performs imaging of servers utilizing common imaging tools. Performs patching, hardening, and automated deployments. Performs basic troubleshooting and escalates complex issues to senior administrators.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience administrating servers and operating systems. Must have experience troubleshooting tier 2 issues. Experience working in a virtualized environment is required. Must have knowledge of orchestration and automation. Must have an understanding of operations and scaling within the cloud environment. Must have understanding of Change Control and Configuration Management processes. Technology relevant certification can substitute 1 year of work experience.
