SAIC is seeking candidates for the DISA Joint C2 Portfolio Systems Engineering (JC2) initiative which is comprised of four (4) major Department of Defense (DoD) programs: the Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), the Global Combat Support System-Joint (GCSS-J), the Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES), and the Global Command and Control System-Joint Enterprise (GCCS-JE).  JC2 is an overarching approach for fulfilling requirements to provide systems engineering technical and management support for the planning, implementation, and execution of current and future enterprise Information Technology (IT) capabilities and computing services.

The candidate for this position possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. May supervise others.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Analyzing and defining security requirements for multilevel security (MLS) systems.
  • Designing, developing, engineering, and integrating solutions to MLS requirements.
  • Conducting security audits.
  • Generating system-level security documentation.
  • Supporting the development of System Operation Procedure documents.
  • Applying knowledge of IT Governance requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and encryption and decryption capabilities to establish secure solutions.
  • Performing risk analysis, including risk assessment processes and procedures.
  • Recommending information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements.
  • Performing analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
  • Designing, developing, engineering, and implementing solutions that meet security requirements.
  • Providing integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
  • Analyzing general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
  • Performing vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.

**This position may permit occasional flexwork.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; OR, High School equivalent and 6+ years of experience.
  • Any equivalent IAT-II certification (Security +)
  • Experience with documentation
  • Experience using the following technologies:
    • eMASS
    • RMF/IA policy writing experience
    • ATO
    • STIGS Viewer
    • ACAS
  • DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with Agile and or SAFe practices and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with DD2875
  • REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

    An active Secret Clearance
