Job Description


SAIC is looking for a Scene Generation Engineer to support research and development for the United States Air Force Research Lab. This position will be part of a team of scientists and engineers that provide simulated scenes and environments for hardware-in-the-loop testing.


The ideal applicant would have an understanding and/or experience using:

  • Unreal or Unity game engines
  • CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan
  • Synthetic object modeling: Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Sketchup, etc.
  • Terrain databases
  • Environmental modeling
  • Optical properties
  • Special effects including particle systems
  • Windows and Linux programming
  • Source control using Git or similar
  • Experience using high performance computing systems a plus


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or Physics and 2+ years of experience.
  • Modern software programming using C/C++ or similar
  • Ability to get and maintain Secret Clearance
