SAIC anticipates a requirement to fill a Senior Fleet Training Coordinator in support of the Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) Pacific, Maritime Global Command and Control System (GCCS) Family of Systems (MGF) Project, and other C2 and/or C4I projects. This work will be performed on-site in San Diego, CA.

This opportunity is contingent upon award in the Fall of 2021.

The Command and Intelligence Systems Division (Code 532) within NIWC Pacific provides systems engineering, software maintenance, integration, test, and life-cycle support for a wide range of Navy, Joint, and National C4I systems.  These systems serve to consolidate Command, Control, Intelligence, Imagery, Planning, Coordination and Logistic capabilities to provide an integrated C4I capability to the warfighter. 

Summary: The Senior Fleet Trainer is a lead position providing support to Code 532 and ongoing initiatives by using their Navy MGF C4I experience to develop user training curriculums and help other trainers and missions partners to set up their training programs. The Senior Fleet Trainer will also coordinate system demonstrations and participation in exercises to utilize the system capabilities and refine concepts of operations to maximize benefits to the mission.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Understand our customer needs, as it relates to the mission area of NIWC PAC and the MGF and help communicate with our developers and customers to train users and developers to satisfy those needs
• Provides on-site initial training support consisting of Executive Overview briefings (in-brief/out-brief), User training, and System Administration training.
• Provides underway training when deemed necessary.
• Coordinates and may conduct Post-Installation Training (PIT) at commands/units that receive software loads. This support shall include on-site initial training support for users and system administrators, PIT training may be conducted underway when deemed necessary by the government.
• Coordinates and provides technical expertise in all phases of training and exercises support ashore and afloat to include planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, life cycle maintenance, and training equipment support as identified in and in accordance with NAVEDTRA 136 and its publications.
• Prepares and updates training materials and performs training and indoctrination at NIWC Pacific and operational sites.
• Coordinates with users, mission partners and developers to understand system capabilities.
• Provides feedback to developers for discrepancies and change requests for future needs.
• Coordinates on the development of the training curriculum, creates targeted training plans, and helps users stand up training shops and programs.
• Coordinates the execution of training, demonstrations, and exercises based on the organizational strategy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience; Four (4) additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active Secret clearance
