Description

  Works with limited oversight to perform information systems engineering, functional analysis of ATC/M system requirements, development, production, test and evaluation of related information systems. Includes, but not limited to, systems engineering activities oversight, demonstrated expertise with new and legacy systems, technical alternative analyses, acquisition management of information systems, and information management tools.
·         Duties include, but are not limited to, performing hardware and software analyses to provide comparative data or performance characteristics and suitability within the existing environment, usually under the guidance of a more senior leader or manager
·         Provides recommendations on configuration management issues
·         Assists in the design and development of operational use cases and their integration as part of the program office requirements management, change request management, and overall configuration management functions, including management of the configuration controlled baselines
·         Implement the Program Manager's instructions and intent by reviewing internal and external documents from the perspective of good management practices, conformance to the FAA's Acquisition Management System (AMS), and other FAA policy and procedures
·         Advise the PM and other Program Office personnel on the planning, structure, writing, and coordination for approval of AMS required documents before and after program Final Investment Decision (FID)
Supports various FAA programs to include: Surveillance and Broadcast Services (SBS), Terminal Automation Modernization Replacement (TAMR), Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP), Space Integration (SI), Non-Cooperative Radar Systems, Surveillance Services Group (SSG), Surveillance and Broadcast Services Operations (SBS Ops), Cooperative Radar Systems, Terminal Flight Data Management (TFDM), Decision Support Systems (DSS), ATO Operational Readiness (AJR-X) and Airborne Collision Avoidance System (ACAS-X)

Qualifications

10 + years of related experience in systems engineering, both working individually and on a team
·         A BA/BS in any discipline is required.  A Masters' degree in any field (e.g MS, MA, MBA) counts for three years additional experience, and a PhD counts for three years additional experience
·         Strong systems engineering and management skills with a proven track record in ATC automation systems
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail
·         Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
·         Skilled at prioritization, multi-tasking, and problem solving
Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite  -PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance 


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
