SAIC is seeking a Business Development SME in the Salt Lake City, UT area to support the Army National Guard G-2 and the broader military intelligence community on the Military Intelligence Services Support (MISS) Contract, with the focus on pursuing opportunities and growing business in the Army National Guard G-2, the Intelligence Community, and with a specific focus on the Army Intelligence. The location for this position is less important than the ability of the candidate to interact with and travel to wherever it is required within the 54 States and Territories.

Note: This role offers temporary work from home/ remote/ virtual work at home due to COVID-19. Eventually the work may go back on site in the Salt Lake City, UT area.

Job Duties:

  • Long range strategic planning for National Guard business
  • Identification/validation of business opportunities
  • Assessing and shaping near-term and long-term requirements
  • Capture plan development and execution
  • Customer relationship development and interaction management, especially at senior levels across Guard components technical, operational, and customer knowledge for the business areas.
  • Determine market trends and develop business cases that align customers' needs/opportunities with SAIC's capabilities and discriminators.
  • Develop new ideas to support the strategic direction of SAIC and the Government customer.
  • Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree and fifteen (15) years; Master’s Degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience.
  • Active Secret clearance, ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Three years of successful experience in: (1) Army National Guard assignments; (2) Business Development/ Marketing to Guard components.
  • Two years of experience at National Guard Bureau. Experience at a Combatant Command, or higher joint staff is a plus!
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in leading and interacting with executives and technical professionals of various levels
  • Experience managing a pipeline of business focused on year-over-year Growth
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to motivate/energize teams, and an ability to develop and implement creative strategies that can position the sector for new business.
  • Experience developing Account Strategies.
  • Able to develop actionable plans by leveraging market knowledge and future Army vision models.
  • Knowledge of National Guard acquisition processes and interfaces with service counterparts.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. SalesForce).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Detail oriented self-starter.

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
