SAIC is in need of a Navy Systems Integration Engineer to work with the NAVSEA SEA 05 technical community. This position will be located in the Washington D.C. Navy Yard,
The successful candidate will provide Navy Warfare system integration into larger system of systems for use onboard Littoral Combat Ship. Candidates need to have experience with Command and Control systems, warfare systems, and should have experience supporting U.S. Navy programs integrating hardware and software systems.
Efforts include the following:
- Review high level system capability requirements and decomposing into engineering requirements for communications and C2 systems;
- Develop systems requirements and modifications for integrating into shipboard C2 and communication systems;
- Review test results against requirements and develop recommended actions;
- Track system requirements changes and associated documents through approval process – identify technical concerns and recommended solutions;
- Coordinate shipboard integration efforts with the technical community and other stakeholders;
- Track and coordinate systems engineering efforts for MCM and C5I systems;
- Participate in technical reviews and develop resolutions to technical issues;
- Coordinate systems engineering activities across stakeholder communities to include technical reviews, technical interchanges, preliminary/critical design reviews, test readiness reviews, etc.
Candidates are expected to work in large team, small team, and independent environments to meet work requirements and deliverable deadlines.
Telework with occasional client site meetings at WNY. Expect to be co-located with Government once COVID telework ends.
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Bachelors (desired) and five (5) years or more of related experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of with C5I integration efforts.
- Shall be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills both oral and written.
Required clearance:
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
