SAIC is seeking a Data Storage/SAN Architect for an upcoming program supporting FDA.  This position will be located out of Ashburn, VA or White Oak, MD.

This program will support the FDA to manage and operate its data centers and IT infrastructure, provide
cybersecurity support to protect sensitive information at the data centers, and to maintain an inventory of
the FDA's IT hardware and software.

Job Description:

• Serves as lead storage administrator in the design, implementation and management of the storage environment.
• Responsible for configuring storage area network architecture. Determines how SAN is logically created, which components are used, data storage and retrieval frameworks, device/host interconnectivity and other parameters/components essential for a SAN.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Cisco Data Center Certification

SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association) Storage

Networking Engineer Certification

Specific Vendor Storage Admin

Certs (Dell EMC, Net App, Pure)

Preferred:

Information TechnologyInfrastructure Library (ITIL)

Microsoft Technology Certifications (Operating Systems)

VMware Certifications

Linux Certifications
